Barbequed Tofu
Tofu is made from beancurd and it can be bought in solid and soft varieties. I would recommend the solid type as it is easier to handle and cook. The marinade will keep for weeks in the refrigerator.

Ingredients
Tofu 1 lb/450g, sliced or cubed
Toasted ground sesame seeds 1 tbsp
Spring onions 3 chopped
Garlic 4 cloves, crushed
Sesame oil 2 tbsp/30ml
Rice wine or sake 2 tbsp/30ml
Maple syrup or honey 2 tbsp/30ml
Black pepper pinch/2g
Soy Sauce 4tbsp/60ml
Broccoli florets 10
Instructions

Stir or blend the onion, garlic, maple syrup, pepper, soy sauce, rice wine (or sake) and sesame seeds until thoroughly mixed.

Marinate the tofu in the sauce for several hours.

Fry or grill the tofu and serve with sauce and broccoli florets. Serve with rice.
